Giving Back

Our lawyers and staff are actively involved in the communities in which we live and work. For many years, Lomurro Davison has helped lead the way to make the communities we serve better places to live and conduct business. Through volunteer activity and sponsorship, we have supported a variety of charitable and civic organizations. Many of our attorneys provide pro bono legal services and serve in prominent board positions in community organizations. This dedication and commitment to our community development is part of the culture of our office.

The Charitable Fund of

Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Muñoz, Inc.

The Charitable Fund of Lomurro, Davison, Eastman & Muñoz, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation that was established in 2006. The Charitable Fund is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people by raising funds to directly benefit local individuals and families who are in need or who have suffered a financial or personal hardship. The Charitable Fund is also committed to supporting local, community-minded charities and non-profit corporations.

The Charitable Fund of LDEM's 7'th Annual Golf Outing will be held on June 3rd, 2013Our annual golf outing is The Charitable Fund's largest fundraising event.  Through the overwhelming generosity of our supporters, we have already raised over $230,000, which has been distributed to more than 90 struggling individuals and families as well as to local charities, including The Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer, The Wellness Community and the YMCA Leaders Club.

We have had the honor of assisting many individuals who have demonstrated tremendous courage in the face of unspeakable tragedy.  In the wake of Superstorm Sandy, we provided assistance to more than 15 victims of Sandy alone as well as numerous other families who have been stricken by hardship.  To learn more about some of those we have been fortunate enough to help please click here.

The Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer invtites you to the 8th Annual Dinner Dance Gala. For more information, Click here.

You and your guests are cordially invited to attend The Frances Foundation For Kids Fighting Cancer 8th Annual Dinner Dance Gala---A WINTER WONDERLAND BASH. It is being held on Saturday evening, October 20th, commencing at 7 pm at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch. It kicks off with a spectacular cocktail hour which will feature Phil Bruschi singing Sinatra songs  ( see www.philbruschisings.com ) .  This is a very “SPIRITED” night celebrating the smiles we deliver to the kids and the comfort and assistance we provide to their families. At the same time we do not forget the pain and hardships these extremely unlucky kids and their families endure every day. Last week we received a warm and emotional thank you from a mom who lost her daughter on July 20th. She recalled how her cancer-stricken daughter merrily danced at our gala last year and had the time of her life. At last year’s gala, we had 730 guests mightily cheer 18 kids with cancer as we announced them individually, like rock stars, to their own special songs. It is a night to celebrate their smiles---a night on which they forget their painful battles.

In addition to Phil Bruschi singing Sinatra, We will have Chris D'amico and the D'amico Entertainment singers and sax returning. The far includes numerous delicious butler-passed hors d'oeuvres (pigs in a blanket, scallops wrapped in bacon, etc. etc. etc.), pasta stations, salad, a duet entree on specially prepared beef and fish, a delicious dessert, and a 5 hour open bar.

We hope you and your guests can join us for this fun-filled evening which also includes numerous super gift basket raffles and great silent auction items (How about a football autographed by Rutgers' Coach Flood -- get it cheap before his team wins the national championship!). Please pass the attached invite and RSVP card on to your families, friends, neighbors, and business contacts. it is inspiring to see how much we accomplish together in making immediate and meaningful differences in the lives of those caught in indescribable ordeals.

The Frances Foundation for Kids Fighting Cancer, Inc.“Frances Foundation” was founded in 2004 by Partner, Robert Heugle, Jr. in memory of his mother Frances Jean Nolan Heugle whose life was taken by cancer in 2000. Jean had a very special love for children and it is in her name that fifty good-hearted generous members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees have united to bring smiles to seriously ill kids fighting cancer.

The Frances Foundation Mission:

The Frances Foundation has focused, a devoted commitment to bringing smiles to kids fighting cancer. The Foundation strives to alleviate a child’s pain and suffering with a special gift, a special gesture, or even a few special moments. The Foundation also provides financial assistance to impoverished families desperately needing help due to their child’s fight against cancer. The Foundation seeks to give compassionately to children and families dealing with extremely difficult and physical and emotional challenges. In addition to direct aid to a child or a family, the Foundation also supports research aimed to terminate childhood cancers. Helping kids is our passion.

 American Cancer Society's

Relay For Life

Lomurro, Davison has been a Corporate Sponsor of the Relay for Life since 2000.  Through various fundraisers, both within the office and throughout the community, we have raised over $300,000 which has gone to assist in the American Cancer Society's efforts to find a cure for a disease that, unfortunately, affects everyone in our community at some point during their lives.  At an event that strives to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays, those that have been touched by cancer come together to celebrate survivors, remember those they've lost to cancer, and rally to fight back against the disease.  Lomurro, Davison continues to support the research, education, advocacy and services that the American Cancer Society provides in hope that we will all live in a world where cancer does not threaten the people we love.

American Cancer Society's Mission Statement:

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminshing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
